Introducing the brand new Clear Cafe Canggu. I stumbled upon this gem by accident while looking for breakfast in Canggu, Bali. And, its an absolute must visit on any trip to Bali.

It may be cliche, but it’s true, Bali is the destination of eat pray love. Emphasis on the EAT.
I ate in so many phenomenal vegetarian, vegan and healthy food places during my time in Ubud and Canggu. However, one stood out above all the rest, and I found it by mistake near the end of my trip. Clear Café is the newest photogenic lunch spot in Canggu, and it should be on everybody’s list.
When I found it, it was brand-new (May 2019). The friendly staff invited me in to walk around and see it.
I was intrigued, and if I’m honest the free voucher for smoothies they were handing out at the door also did the trick. Nevertheless, after five minutes of admiring the design and unique vibe, I knew I had to check out the food as well.
It was such a beautiful experience, and felt unique during a trip that often felt quite cliche. Naturally, I wanted to dedicate a blog to Clear Cafe Canggu to encourage more people to check it out too.
Clear Cafe was already established in Ubud and this is their second branch. I imagine more will pop up across Bali in the near future.
What makes Clear Cafe Canggu special?
The Clear Cafe Canggu Vibe
From the moment I entered, I felt super chill at Clear Café. As with many places in Bali, you take your shoes off at the door. Which not only instantly makes you feel like you’re at home. (I wish my home look this good!) But, it keeps everything super clean as well.
The Location
Clear cafe is near Batu Bolong and Canggu Beach on Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan.
I found it accidentally by wandering off the main road on the way to Batu Bolong beach. This is one of the perks of Clear Cafe. The passing traffic is far less frequent. Therefore, adding to an already peaceful vibe.
The second floor balcony area is open at the sides and sheltered on top. This provides the perfect combination of the warm Bali breeze and shelter from the sun.
If I hadn’t come to Canggu for a sun tan, I would have stayed here all day.
The Decor
It feels like every part of the decoration and design has intention and thought behind it. From the fun table stands, to the comfortable and aesthetically pleasing yellow and black chairs. The colours are vibrant enough to feel modern. Yet, blend enough with Bali’s natural vibes to prevent it from feeling out of place.
The Menu
The menu is most suited to lunch or dinner. However, if you do find yourself here at breakfast I can totally recommend the smoothie bowl.
They have a good range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, to suit everyone. Clear cafe Ubud is known for its healthy food and it looks like Clear cafe in Canggu is following suit.
And the prices were very reasonable, so if you’re travelling on a budget, the Clear Cafe Canggu is one to remember.
The Unique Touches
Beyond the ascetically pleasing decor, clear Cafe Canggu goes beyond and has some very unique bonus features.
The Slide
Slide from the first floor to the ground floor, of rno real reason other than – why wouldn’t you!
The Fireman’s Pole
If sliding downstairs is just too tame for you, try out the fireman’s pole. Although perhaps not while carrying your food!
Balcony Area
I visited before completion. But by the looks of it, you’ll also have the option to eat up in the rafters on a beautiful wooden balcony.
Yoga Classes
Again, not yet in full swing by the time I visited, but the Clear Cafe Canggu will also be offering yoga classes in one of its rooms.
