When in Miami, an absolute must see is Wynwood Walls and the stunning street art. I recommend giving yourself half a day minimum to explore in full. Each street corner brings a new line of colour and mind blowing talent. I could’ve wandered around for more hours than I had available and I’m sure I’d never see the same painting twice.
To get started, check out Wynwood Walls gardens, an enclosed area of street art. It’s free to enter and showcases a rotating display of artists. The area even has a spot to grab a drink & relief from the hot Miami Sun. The garden’s also has a small indoor (and importantly, air conditioned) exhibit.
From there, head out into the streets and explore all the colour and art that the Wynwood Walls have to offer.
There is no right or wrong way to explore Wynwood. Just be sure to have water, a fully charged camera and some comfortable shoes.
Wynwood is not known to be the best area at night, so I would recommed a daytime visit. And as the sun gets very hot, heading in the morning to beat the heat and the crowds is the best approach.
