Week 13: Radiators and Wiring

Amazing week of progress on the Howieson construction site. Mostly thanks to my incredible parents who spent their Friday installing beautiful radiators {still questioning why they’re required because my flat is a heat retaining inferno}.

My electrician apprenticeship has now covered wiring sockets and my main task of the week was my two least favourite activities; shopping and decision making

I entirely underestimated how many choices have to be made when planning a home from scratch. There are a million varieties of units, worktops, taps, sinks, unit doors, floor tiles, wall tiles, unit legs, light fittings, shades of grout for between the tiles, unit HINGES… it’s endless

I’ve been to B&Q 4 times in 3 days.

My brain is exploding and that’s before I’ve started to think about furniture or the normal things people buy for a first home like picture frames and cushions (I predict those will come sometime mid 2018).
Super exciting to see things coming together and looking a little more like a home though.
