Week 6 & 7: Plastering & Painting

Major progress as the flat has evolved from resembling a construction site to a renovation project.. and somewhere that humans may actually want to inhabit one day in the (distant) future.

Despite a very large hole in one wall (thanks Dad), last week saw the final pieces of plasterboard going up ready for plasteringΒ πŸ˜±πŸŽ‰
The artex ceiling has been scraped (not a job my brother or I EVER want to repeat) and Mum is officially never going near a can of adhesive expanding foam again. Top tip: when putting up plasterboard AVOID EXPANDING FOAM.

New addition to my repertoire; Mixing plaster and back filling walls.πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ”¨

There is officially a working toilet! (Do not underestimate this luxury until you spend 5 weeks running across the road to MacDonalds or the local supermarket!

The walls and ceilings have been beautifully plastered and some even have their first coat of paint!! And my entire kitchen has arrived… as 1,000,000 flat pack boxes that I can’t wait to start constructing 😱
