Week 15: Kitchen Worktops

This week, elements of my final design started appearing (which is great because my brain doesn’t do that artsy visualisation thing, so I can now finally start seeing how it’s going to look)

In the kitchen; the units are secure and the first length of worktop cut to size.

We measured it a billion times and I just about entered cardiac arrest when the cutting began, but Bruce Howieson has a steady hand and did wonderfully.

In the bathroom; I am, once again, without a working toilet. However, the floor is boarded up and tiling has begun. 100% credit to Mumma Rae for doing all the hard bits, but I feel proud of myself for laying a few tiles too!

The shower tray is in and connected and there are no reports of flooding by the neighbours below so I’d call that a win.
In the cupboard, the electrical wiring continues… some things don’t change
.

I continue to be blown away by my parent’s endless skills and I’m so grateful to be learning some of it myself now too.
