Just when I thought I was near the finish line, home ownership threw me my biggest challenge.
I came home to a blocked communal pipe, flooding in the kitchen & hall cupboard and a totally destroyed oven (it’s only ever cooked a pizza!)
After a few days in a blur of mopping endlessly, a 1am phone call for an emergency plumber and various visits by trades people it’s under control for now.
In the spirit of staying positive, I’d far rather have a bill and a damaged oven than loose anything we’ve spent months creating.
Elsewhere;
– The tiling is almost finished in the kitchen.(Thanks mum)
– I have a wardrobe and a working fridge.
– The spare room has transformed from a toolshed.
– Dad has installed beautiful breakfast bar lights.
– And the bathroom even has a plant!
Thanks once again to my hero parents, especially for their support in what has been a very overwhelming week.
